On Sunday May 3rd, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church held its 104th Annual Blessing of the Fleet. This blessing of the fleet was somewhat different from years past, as we had to practice social distancing, wear face masks, and could not include other motor vessels in our parade. Thanks for all of you who came out along the highway or awaited us on your boats to view and receive a blessing. Special thanks to our pastor Father John, as well as to our Acollyte Mike Callais, alter servers Conner Gisclair, Cameron Badeaux, our Golden Meadow chief of police Troy Dufrene, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's water patrol, and Terry and Sally Cheramie for providing their boat for our ride as well as wonderful Cajun hospitality, and to Gwen Theriot for live streaming the event.
